Frequently Asked Questions
Here are a list of common questions that I get asked, along with the answers, I hope this helps.
Let me know If you think of anymore that should be added.
How do we book you and how much is the deposit?
Firstly you need to contact me to see if I am available on your date, then all you need to do is fill out the online booking form.
Its just £100 deposit to secure your booking (this is all taken care of within the booking form) then your balance isn’t due until 2 weeks before your wedding.
How Many Photographs do we get ?
Whilst most photographers limit the number to a collection of say 300 or 400. I don't.
Apart from the obvious ones that I weed out (blinking, nose picking, duplicates etc) I give you the lot.
Do you edit each photograph ?
Yes I do, each picture you receive has been personally picked and edited by my very own fair hands,
no batch processing or bulk editing.
Where are you based and how far do you travel ?
I am based in Leeds, I love a day out somewhere new as much as the next tepid explorer.
I am willing to travel far out from Leeds without charging for fuel. Get in touch and let me know where your wedding is.
I'm getting married abroad, will you still photograph my wedding ?
This is called a 'Destination Wedding' and I am the destination wedding specialist with tons
of frequent flyer miles. I am a pro at flight casing my equipment & heading out to shoot a wedding off shore.
How does filming my wedding work if you are also taking the pictures ?
I'm really good, but not that good. If you book me to film and photograph your wedding then it becomes a two man job.
Do you shoot in both black & white and colour ?
I always shoot in colour, this enables me to turn any image that I want into black & white
during the edit process. If I shoot in black & white to start with, I cannot change this back to colour.
Will our photographs be watermarked ?
No, I provide you the whole collection at full resolution without any watermarks, but I also provide you
with your full collection that have been resized for Facebook. These smaller ones do have my logo in
the bottom corner (see the photographs on my website) this just deters other photographers
from copying your pictures and passing them off as their own (yup it happens)
Do you need to attend the wedding rehearsal ?
Not unless you plan to be doing something completely out of the ordinary that requires
a practice run, like arriving by hot air balloon or riding a camel down the aisle.
How does the album design process work ?
Once you have your photographs, you choose 40 of your favourite pictures and let me know the image
numbers (I have an online form that you fill out to make it nice and easy) your album then
gets designed, I send you a proof copy for you to see before it goes to print.
Do you have insurance ?
Absolutely, I carry full P&L Insurance as well as PAT testing on all electrical equipment.
I am more than happy to work with any venue that needs these documents.
Do you need feeding on the day ?
Nope, I shall bring my own packed lunch which usually comprises
of a cheese sandwich and a packet of Wheat Crunchies mmm.
What do you do if it rains on the day ?
We generally head inside for your group shots. guests aren’t normally too fond of getting wet.
But for the bride and groom personal shots, we can still head outside and use umbrellas.
But think of this when you are choosing your venue, try and find a venue with nice inside décor,
a nice staircase or grand fireplace perhaps.
